They are looking for engineering, R&D and management support for analog and digital image fusion technology to develop what sounds exactly like the Army’s ENVG program.
Like me, you may have thought this is for some other kind of image fusion application. Perhaps they are looking for something to mount on vehicles, aircraft or spaceships. Well, when you read the posting, it sure sound like they want something just like the ENVG.
They state, “Image Fusion is intended to provide Marines the best attributes of enhanced vision system technology to conduct infantry combat tasks, including target acquisition, identification, and engagement, in addition to conducting mobility and critical manual tasks during limited or zero visibility conditions.”
